ATV Rentals

The rugged backcountry terrain of the Shuswap area provides the perfect location for ATV tours. There are several local companies that offer guided day trips where you can explore trails which lead to elevations of up to 6500 feet.

Boating

One of the most popular lakes in the interior, Shuswap has become the houseboating capital of British Columbia. Each year hundreds of visitors come to explore over 1000 km of shoreline. You can literally spend days exploring all the beaches, hidden coves and open water here. If you prefer to sleep on land, there are also plenty of opportunities to book power boats and enjoy an afternoon of wakeboarding, waterskiing or tubing. Make sure to reserve your boats early, as houseboats can be booked up a more then a year in advance.

Camping

Surrounded by mountains, forests and steams, the Shuswap area is a campers dream. With many lakefront sites and full services offered you can bring your tent or RV. Make sure to book your spots early (April 1) as they fill up extremely fast.

Fishing

Surround by gorgeous BC lakes the Shuswap area is perfect for fishing. Many of the experienced guides will take you out on not only Shuswap Lake, but also Mara Lake, Kalamalka Lake, Wood Lake and Okanagan Lake. Even if you don't catch anything, this is a great way to spend a sunny afternoon.

Golf

With over 10 top quality courses to choose from, it is easy to see why the Shuswap is such a popular destination for golfers. One of the most impressive courses is the Shuswap Lake Estates Golf & Country Club, which offers the finest playing experience possible. Other popular courses include Anglemont Estates, Canoe Creek and Sunshore Golf Course. Make sure to book your tee times early, as courses fill up very early during the summer months.

Hiking

The Shuswap is packed with excellent hiking and biking trails. The Falkland area offers lots of intermediate trails while the North Shuswap area offers several hikes which pass waterfalls, bridges, beaches and explore the surrounding forest.

Horseback Riding
